INTRODUCTION
Previously,UTPOIM had successfully organized “UTP Deepavali Nite” twice. Past events were held in the year 2007, 2008 and 2009 were attended by UTP students, staffs and management. However, in 2009,there are few changes and ideas to be introduced in order to improve this event.
First, the name of the event will be changed from “UTP Deepavali Nite” to “UTP Deepavali and Indian Cultural Nite ”.
Second, since this time onwards we will be emphasizing more on Indian Culture, we will be inviting legal Indian Culture based associations around Perak as a part of performance team, for example Persatuan Silambam Negeri Perak.
Third, we will be having UTP Chinese Orchestra,UTP Modern Music and UTP Gamelan team to perform together with UTP Indian Orchestra as the finale performance.
Forth, since this event will be held in Chancellor Hall ,we will be inviting public and also students from other universities as audience.
Fifth, two days before this event, we will be having exhibitions, competitions, talks, games and other relevant activities both at Pocket D and also V5 court. We also will be inviting shops which will be selling Indian traditional clothes, ornaments and anything else which related.
